Studio Remnant
SS26
Ease is the whole point of Studio Remnant's spring collection. Everything is oversized and androgynous, built soft rather than tailored, cut in generous proportions that sit on the body however the body happens to be shaped. The label's salvaged cloth and embroidered panels carry through, lighter now, moved into cream and linen and white for the season.
A collection built to fit everyone puts an unusual demand on casting. When clothes are made to adapt to the wearer, the face carrying them cannot just be a frame to hang fabric on, it has to read as easeful and androgynous in the way the garments are, someone the pieces can rest on without looking styled into place. That is what Spirit³ cast for.
Ed Puddington carried it across the full range, the kind of face a lookbook needs, holding look after look without the clothes ever starting to wear him. Shot by Harri Gillian, the looks stay quiet and the face stays interesting the whole way down.
Studio Remnant SS26. Made to outlast the season, worn like it was never a decision.
